COST INFORMATION

TUITION

Composition Program:  €2000 (Cortona Prize full-tuition scholarship available)
Performance Program:  €2000
Chamber Music Initiative: €2000
Conducting Program: €2000 (two €1000 scholarships available)
Auditor/Groupie Program:  €1000
Audio/Visual Fellowship: partial and full-tuition scholarships available
Resident Piano Fellowship: one full-tuition scholarship available

Additional performance-based scholarships will be awarded at the time of acceptance. Need-based financial assistance in the form of partial tuition discounts may be available; please contact the Sessions director at info@cortonasessions.org for more information if you have financial need.

TUITION INCLUDES:

  • group classes

  • Cortona Collective concerts

  • workshops

  • private lessons

  • rehearsal coachings

  • one-on-one consultations

  • access to Akoesticum’s state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance facilities and equipment (full list of instruments and rooms available here)

  • complimentary headshot sessions with Brendan Sweeney, production manager

FOOD & LODGING: €1000 EUR

Food and Lodging includes:

  • dorm room with bathroom (shared with one or two roommates)

  • breakfast buffet every morning

  • free coffee, tea, and water all day, every day

  • 2 banquet dinners (July 20 and July 31)

  • wi-fi

  • access to Akoesticum’s beautiful housing facilities, including:

    • bar/cafe

    • walking paths

    • common shared spaces

NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION:

  • airfare

  • train fare to/from the Ede train station

  • accommodations prior to July 20, 2025 or after August 1, 2025

  • some meals

  • additional snacks and drinks

  • souvenirs

DATES & DEADLINES

March 1, 2025: Application decisions announced
March 15, 2025: Deposit payment/confirmation deadline
April 15, 2025: Second payment due
May 15, 2025: Payment due in full

Late payments will incur a €150 penalty unless payment arrangements are made prior to April 15, 2025.

REFUND SCHEDULE

Withdraw by April 15:  €850 (deposit)
Withdraw by May 15:  50% of amount paid
After May 15, 2025 no refunds will be given except in extreme circumstances. Refunds will be for the amount paid MINUS service and processing fees.
